Often, when you bring out the standees or miniatures, players guess it’s time for combat. By having NPC standees, it shows that not everyone is a target!

For your first games, players might not have a fully rounded character. Having some typical first time player characters to hand gives them a choice of who to play (character sheets not included!)

Although the game is often played as “theatre of the mind”, it really helps having a table full of tiny models to really add to the immersion of the game!
